Book Bargains - Harvard Classics
« on: October 14, 2017, 05:13:18 PM »
How I drool when I see the incredible bargains in classics these days.

What a Christmas gift for a smart kid in the family. Gorgeous sets like this all over e-bay and I assume Amazon.  I can't fucking stomach Bezos, so I do E-bay and have had no problems.

Set of 22 books. THE HARVARD CLASSICS DELUXE EDITION 1969-62nd Printing Hunter Green with Gilt Lettering. This entire set is in excellent condition. These show very little wear if any at all. They look absolutely great. Titles (authors) are as follows: 1. Bacon Milton Browne 2. Addison, Steele, Swift, Defoe, Johnson, and others 3. Franklin, Woolman, Penn 4. American Historical Documents 5. Bunyan, Izaak Walton 6. Collins to Fitzgerald 7. Marlowe, Shakespeare 8. Darwin Voyage of the Beagle 9. Thackeray, Newman, Ruskin, Huxley, Thoreau and Others 10. Edmund Burke 11. Aesop, Grimm, Andersen 12. Plato, Epictetus, Marcus Aurelius 13. Chaucer to Gray 14. Virgil 15. The Thousand and One Nights 16. Cervantes 17. Plutarch 18. Homer 19. Tennyson To Whitman 20. Dante 21. Famous Prefaces 22. Emerson These will be shipped in two boxes as these are quite heavy and I do not want these to be damaged during the shipping process. Shipping will be $20.00 for these items.

The Harvard Classics have been part of my life since my 20s. I also acquired The Great Books, which were part of the re-establishment of the Library at Alexandria I was attempting to secure when raising my daughter. Who now has no room for any of this.

My old lady has been on my case to dump my books for over a decade.

I just can't part with them Surly and won't move out of my house on account of them.

Keep hoping the grand kids will want them and give up video games and Iphones.

Never could handle reality well.  :-\

The God of the Egyptians has bestowed many blessings on GO.

It is not Obsession but Gratitude to the flesh of the almighty heavenly Pharaoh.

That appears to be in conflict with the teachings of Jesus Christ and Roman Catholicism.  You have converted to Egyptian Pharaoh Worship?

Not true.  GO holds them both in very high regard.

Unfortunately, Christianity doesn't work that way.  You can't say the Bible is Untrue.  It's the Word of God.
