Eat Santa & Frosty!

There will be no Lunch Special today.  We will serve the Diner Dinner Special for the early crowd from 1PM-4PM and for the late crowd from 5PM-9PM.  We will be showing "It's a Wonderful Life" at 1PM and "Miracle on 34th Street" at 5PM on our big screen 4K Super AMOLED monitors with Bluetooth Wireless Sennheiser Headsets available if you don't bring your own.

We kicked off the Specials with Prime Rib, and had Turkey for Thanksgiving.  That leaves us with just Ham as a traditional Main dish for Christmas Dinner.  Fortunately here at the Diner we also own a Honey Baked Ham franchise and get the first choice of hams right out of the oven on Christmas Day, then Spiral Cut on our patented spiral slicers.  :icon_sunny:

Austin and San Antonio argue about which one invented the breakfast taco. Pretty sure it's a Texican dish rather than a Mexican dish. Either way, I've been hooked on them since I started dental school (they served them in the cafeteria). I'm still searching for the best breakfast taco of all time. There are many delicious variations.

Mexicans invented the Taco, so anything served inside a taco shell gets labelled Mexican.

If I was stuffing the Taco shell, it would have eggs, chorizo, jack cheese, avocado, diced tomatoes, green salsa and sour cream topped with chives.

The new breakfast diner across the street from the office has migas. Miga tacos with queso and green tomatillo sauce are pretty awesome.

There are two kinds of salsa you need for a breakfast taco. The most important one is what Texicans call pico de gallo, which is finely diced tomatoes, diced jalapenos, diced onions and diced cilantro. The other one is whatever brand of hot salsa you like. We have a local brand made by somebody from our old neighborhood, called Sabor. All fresh ingredients, and hot as fuck.
What makes the desert beautiful is that somewhere it hides a well.
