A favorite Bar Food!  Lots of variations on the Potato Skins theme, so we'll feature them periodically on the Diner.  :icon_sunny:

We're cooking outside today at the Diner BBQ.  Along with Ribeye, my favorite cut of beef to use on the open grill are the Ribs.  Lots of FAT! 😋 They also come in at a cheap price, often cheaper than ground beef.  Smother in BBQ sauce and let it caramelize.  Many recipes call for you to slow cook them so the meat is falling off the bone, but it makes them too well done for me.  I like them still pink inside and you have to gnaw the meat off the bone.

I know "Real Men Don't Eat Quiche", but I'm not a real man anymore, I'm a CRIPPLED MONK!  So I get to eat quiche (if I still had an appetite).  Even when I was still a real man with an appetite ducking plates thrown at me by my Illuminati Spawn girlfriend (thank god they were mostly plastic or paper!  ::)) and patiently listening to verbal abuse pitched at me in Latin, I ate quiche.  So I think quiche is OK for real men to eat too!  :icon_sunny:  Many variations on this theme as well, so quiche will be back as a Diner Breakfast Special in the future!  :)

Nice and simple today for lunch, Grilled Ham & Cheese.  Even EZier nowadays with electric Panini Presses or a George Foreman Grill.

The Diner has something for everyone, including the PIGS 🐷 out there.  Today we feature our Jumbo size hamburgers.  Don't ask what the Mega Jumbo or Super Mega Jumbo burgers look like.  ::)

Note: Next week we will be featuring Doomer Dinners on the Diner.  A great menu is lined up!  Don't miss it.

Another one of mom's favorites, along with the jelly doughnuts and chocolate doughnuts.  Needless to say, mom had a weight problem her whole life after her mid twenties or so.  As a teenager (when she married) she was skinny and quite the looker, real model material.  By the time she was 40 though, she had reached the obesity stage.  That she lived until 82 is miraculous.  She died in her sleep in her Springfield MO apartment.

Hard as this is to believe now, when I was a kid Mexican food wasn't available anywhere in my neighborhood as lunch food.  Italian, Chinese and Jewish was the rule.  However, I eventually learned about Mex food and started making my own Tacos in college.  Great cheap and EZ to cook up eats.  :icon_sunny:

I like Ikura (Salmon Roe) more than Caviar with the morning Eggs.  Pops in your mouth when you bite down.  Very good with scrambled eggs.

A regular OTR staple breakfast, along with a 32 oz Flying J Coffee in the refillable mug.  You paid $10 for the big mug, then you never had to pay for coffee again.  TA and Petro offered the same deal with their mugs.  I had one of each.  A bag usually lasted me around 3 days.

I haven't had this in a long time.  I made a lot of it though, it was very popular at Capsuto Freres (my restaurant back in the day).  CF was forced outta  biz by Superstorm Sandy.  That neighborhood was flooded for months.  It was a great restaurant though.
