Snow Day In Texas
« on: January 16, 2018, 07:43:42 AM »
The schools are closed and my office is closed. It's 26 degrees F and there is a tiny bit of sleet falling.

What makes the desert beautiful is that somewhere it hides a well.

Maybe you could go out and do some ice skating. :) I just looked up your area, wind chill brings it down to 7 degrees. How often have you seen this cold of weather there? It is -1 here!

Have you taken a hot shower yet with your new high power water pump?

No, not yet. My nose is dripping ALL the time, don't want to make it any worse...but i did do dishes this morning, and BOOM the sink filled about twice as fast.   How cold where you are "North to Alaska"?

Quite toasty.  34F.  Snow is melting off from the last snowfall.

I need to mail a quarterly tax return. I'm not even sure the post office is open here.

On the twitter feed for the Austin area

It is going to be slick as hell out there. Really be careful walking outside. A seasoned farmer lady around here forgot one morning to put on her spikes before she she went out to feed their animals in this type of freeze. She fell immediately and broke her arm!
