💰 Buried Treasure Mapping 1
« on: February 06, 2018, 01:50:04 PM »
I'll whip up a map later this afternoon.
Cool, thanks...

Is this the neighborhood?  Once we hone it down I'll get terrain maps.

Camels. It would have camels.....didn't they have camels in the desert West during the Civil War? I'm pretty sure they tried it.

Clint Eastwood could make a cameo appearance....or maybe play the CEO of Wells Fargo, or Abraham Lincoln or some other part appropriate for an old fuck.

I could so write the screenplay for this...if I only knew anything about how to write a screenplay, that is.

During WWII,  Patton had a camel brigade down by Quartzsite.
Every January, there's a gem & mineral show. Some of the still surviving army tankers get together & relive the memories.
Not a bad WWII gig. Weekends in ol' Mexico. Oh yeah....

Just south of Santa Claus.
What makes the desert beautiful is that somewhere it hides a well.

Never mind, I found Cerbat Mountains.  Is this where you want to go digging?

Cerbat Canyon and the town of Cerbat appear to be here.  Is this where you go digging?  Do you want me to go in further or get a sat photo of this area?

Yes,
Near the mouth is a mill.
Towards the rear of the canyon is the area where the stage stop was.
There a several rock cabins along the rim of the wash. That's where the hold up took place.

I'll zoom in a bit and take a sat pic.  You'll have to point out on that one exactly where you want to look.

That 5 acre parcel is Rob's ranch. The scarring tan marks at the right is the mill site.
Make the scarring as far to the left as you can as a reference point.
Boothill will be in the bottom portion of next picture.

What "scarring tan marks"?  ???

You want me to move the view to the right or left here, and up or down?

The view needs to go to the right.
The road into the canyon is named Cerbat road.
The tan marks by the road has a wide spot. That is the millsite.
