Good for you guys for being activists. I do look for an above average turnout here, although we have some minority-voter suppression action going on too. The foxes OWN the effin' hen house here.

A Beto win would be an enormous positive for Texas. And Cornyn could quit trying to out-Cruz Cruz, which he's been obligated to do, even though he's slightly less rabid in his natural state of Rethuglicanism. With Trump sounding the horn for the most vicious of the fascist swinehunds, guys like Cornyn are afraid of appearing soft on "The Wall", especially.

Greg Abbott is on a tear. I can't even watch a utoob video without his latest anti-immigrant political ad blaring in my face. What an asshole.

I'm still scratching my head on the Texas governors race. I guess the Dems just view Abbott as unbeatable.

The Demo candidate is fairly horrible. The only thing she has is a Spanish surname. Everything else smacks of the typical political hackery, and she is vulnerable to charges of malfeasance, since she doesn't really know what she's doing..... and because she isn't as free of (provable) sins as the Evangelical hypocrites like Danny Goebbels Patrick.

Her finances are a mess, and I wouldn't trust her not to pig out at the trough if she got elected, which she certainly will not.

There are either no rich Democrats left in Texas, or they are biding their time until Trump (hopefully) self-destructs. The usual candidates are completely absent this time.

In 2020 Texas voters won't even be able to vote a straight party ticket. The current GOP dominated legislature has decided that's a bad idea.

They aren't even writing about the Governors race. I can't find an article bout Valdez that's less than a month old. Abbott raised $50M. She's toast.

Abbott's leading by nearly 20 points and Cruz is up by 7 points and gaining.

It's gonna be the usual suspects, I'm afraid.

It has to be tried in the Senate, which just got more Trumpist. Who's gonna convict?
And unlike Tricky Dick, who didn't hang around to get impeached, Trump has a 24/7 propaganda channel, all of AM radio, half the internet and the ability to find a microphone and exhort his armed militias to take to the streets. And traitors like Lindsay Graham will twiddle their pearls and hope Putin keeps the incriminating photos in the Kremlin.
