A mystery.  How I can use it fine but someone else can't?  I changed file permissions so it might work now.  I don't understand why it worked for me but nobody else.  I don't like it being stuck on Trump.  Thank you for letting me know.

If you ever get on the Ballot, I'll break my rule and vote for you.

The demo mode failed.  Things appeared to be working fine but I can't test my website over a proxy when Javascript is involved.  Surly's feedback was invaluable.

I thought things were working and I posted the new demo mode.  Boom.  As expected since I have the tracking globe going on: I get not one; not two; but THREE pings within a second of each other all from the 'US' with default longitude and latitude in Kansas, accuracy radius 1000 miles.  This happened in the fabled New York minute and I have not enjoyed that much popularity for a while.



But like I say, things appear to be working.

Then Surly can't switch the demo vote.  I go to my website and things are mysteriously foobar.

I had to talk to My web provider and they had to reset my 'cache' for things to work right.  Now the demo mode is working again but to be fair I do have small changes in the code so did the DEEP STATE interfere?  Can't say for sure.

The demo is working now. I tried it when you first posted it....I didn't mention it then because I just thought maybe I misunderstood, and that it wasn't actually operational yet due to you turning it off to work on it or something.

Arrrrrrgh! At first I couldn't see the display. Then I refreshed and I could see fit. KD had one vote. I voted for K-Dog. It didn't register. Then I voted for Biden. It TOOK the vote from K-Dog and gave it to Biden.
Shit's broke. Or I am. 50-50 either way.

Yeah, apparently it changes the existing one vote to whatever OTHER candidate you choose. I clicked on K-Dog and it took the vote away from Trump. This still needs a little tinkering...hehehe.

Thanks.  I appreciate the feedback.  In demo mode or in real mode it will work the same.  When I start counting votes you will be able to move your vote around on growing totals.  Your vote should always move.  In demo mode all I have done is trick the code into thinking everyone comes from the same IP address so there can only be a single vote saved that gets updated and which is shared by everybody. 

Each I.P. address will get a vote and a voter will be able to change their vote at any time.  Perhaps I'll identify everyone who uses a proxy and throw those votes away if that becomes an issue.  It is a living project.  All I save is an I.P. address, the choice of vote, and a timestamp.  A returning I.P. address can update a vote choice but they having voted cannot remove their vote or add a new one.  They can only change it.

Getting all this working on a real sever is a bit mysterious and I still may break things when I tweak file permissions.  Cache issues can mess up my work flow.  I try and fix something make the right choice and then when the server does not update the file I think I messed up or it tells me something is working when it is not.  Anybody from a remote location gets fresh files.

The Chevy's at The Levee and The Levee is Dry

February made me shiver. Bad news on my doorstep and I couldn't take one more step. With no where to go, no way could I know which way to go. I was out of luck but not alone. Music died and left us with many widowed brides. Many have been touched deep inside. Widowed too are lonely teenaged broncin' bucks. Up to dance without a chance in halftime air of sweet perfume but air which behind a mask is without a taste.

More innovation.

Today I replace the banner on my web page.

Civilizations are born and they grow.  They enjoy a moment in the sun and then they die.  My new banner tells the story.
