🥘 The Cooking Zone
« on: January 29, 2019, 01:58:08 AM »
WTF is the matter with you Diners?  Exactly ONE Diner (Surly) came in with a guess on the Diner 7th Anniversary Dinner Menu.  Do you no longer have appetities?   You don't like to eat?  What?

With this post I am stating a new column, "The Cooking Zone".  Further celebration of the joys of eating & cooking food. :icon_sunny:

Now, does somebody have at least as much nerve as Surly to make a fucking GUESS at the 7th Anniversary Dinner menu?  He didn't get it, but it was at least an intelligent guess.  Anybody else?  Buehler?

Another good guess, but no.  Maybe for an appetizer though...

🥘 The Cooking Zone - The 1st Intro

"You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension—a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into... the Cooking Zone."

Now I just need Knarf to write a Jingle and Intro music and Eddie's Singer Daughter to sing it.  I'm thinking something like the Beverly Hillbillies intro...

🥘 The Cooking Zone - Diner7th Anniversary Dinner

Another BIG DISAPPOINTMENT here in the Diners.  :(  Since you guys obviously do not care about my cooking and food threads, I will have to just go it alone here again. :P

Here's the Part 1 of the Meal, which could be only 1 choice.  RIBEYE STEAK!🥩  Actually if there were other Diners around to join me and sit down for a real dinner, it would have been a Prime Rib🥩 Roast.  I couldn't eat a whole standing rib roasts in months, and I don't have that much freezer space either.  So it is just a GORGEOUS USDA Prime Grade AAA Ribeye Steak🥩.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/YSBN23xHGSo" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/YSBN23xHGSo</a>

What is Part II of the meal?

Full video to come on or around February 12th, the 7th Anniversary of the Doomstead Diner.

Doomstead Diner.  #1 for Doom on the Net.

A good DOOMER would be using their preps!! Like SPAM and beans. Fried SPAM and eggs might be more appetizing though.
Enjoy that Ribeye.
AJ - VEGETARIAN (only pre SHTF - then after SHTF any calories count.)

Not Spam & Eggs.  No Diner Kewpie Doll for you.  I am doing a Vegan Omelet for Breakfast though!  :icon_sunny:  i can make up a Veggie Burger Pattie for Lunch too!.  For Dinner, I will make you some Feijon or maybe an Indian Curry.  The rest of us Meat-o-sauruses will be consuming animal flesh.

Will anyone get the 2nd part of the Feast correct before I have to just tell you what it is?

Garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus.

Good choice of Side Dishes, but I am not talking side dishes here.  This is a Main Dish of equal power and quality to a Prime Ribeye Steak.  Did you watch the video?  I basically gave away the answer in that one.
