My wife and I attended fairly regularly from 1990 to 1994 after Rev. Hemstreet married us. We lived in Sunnyside during that time. Neither of us was involved with any committees during that time.

I really liked the quaint church building with the wooden rafters.

We really should mention at this time that Tim Berners Lee, inventor of the www, is a UU.

I no longer attended the church services in those years.  My dad the pigman was President of the congregation in the late 1950's, when he was climbing the corporate ladder.  It was good for his resume.  After returning from Brazil, I attended sporadically through the mid 70s when I went to college.  Since then, no organized religion for me, and I morphed into my own version of Panentheism.

Find other famous UUs here.

Glad you finally emerged from Lurkerville MK!  :icon_sunny:

I have to admit there was a time I aspired to be a "pigman". Thankfully I failed.

NOTE: GIVEN THE CONSTANT AND GROWING EFFORTS BY THE DEEP STATE TO BLOCK AND SUPPRESS ALL TRUTHFUL INFORMATION ABOUT RUSSIA AND HER ALLIES, WE SUGGEST YOU DOWNLOAD THIS VIDEO TO YOUR DESKTOP AND INTO YOUR BLOG AS SOON AS YOU CAN. YOUTUBE COULD CANCEL THIS MATERIAL OVERNIGHT.
YouTube is owned by Google, a hostile globalist corporation very much part of the US-led empire.

A groundbreaking new film by Andrei Kondrashev. “Putin” dives into depth about the man who we all hear so much about, but who we know so little about. From the early tumultuous days of the presidency – dealing with the terrorist situation, the Kursk tragedy and a demoralized Russia – to Putin now, the leader of a reenergized and recovered Russia. A year in the making with personal stories that have never been told on camera before. Some will be shocking and stunning. Attempts on the president’s life and the toll of the presidency on Vladimir Putin himself – all of it has been brought together in the most complete portrait of Vladimir Putin that has been done to date.

I was trying to find uttoob vids of Ram Dass and Timothy Leary yesterday and I ran across this. It's not a bad piece of work. I think I saw the trailer at the movies a while back, but forgot about it. It's on Netflix now, and worth watching. I think it paints a very true picture of what both those guys were about. Ram Dass yet lives, although he's 87 and in his dotage now.

What he said.

Ram Dass's father was president of a railroad, and he had a car like this one.

Leary and Alpert would borrow it and ride the rails from Boston to wherever Sandoz was located at that time (New Jersey?) and legally buy $5K worth of legal psilocybin to bring back and dose Harvard grad students. That would have been about 1959 or 1960 or so.....not sure why that stuck in my mind, but talk about a road trip. You can't make this stuff up.
