Celtic Woman - Auld Lang Syne - Official Holiday Yule Log

"Auld Lang Syne" (Scots pronunciation: [ˈɔːl(d) lɑŋˈsəin]: note "s" rather than "z")[1] is a Scots-language poem written by Robert Burns in 1788[2][3] and set to the tune of a traditional folk song (Roud # 6294).

The poem's Scots title may be translated into standard English as "old long since" or, more idiomatically, "long long ago",[5] "days gone by", or "old times". Consequently, "For auld lang syne", as it appears in the first line of the chorus, might be loosely translated as "for the sake of old times".

Mark Twain 'There are many humorous things in the world; among them, the white man's notion that he is less savage than the other savages.'

Twenty years later.

Prince is dead and we're still alive. You just never know.

People get lucky in all kinds of ways on New Years Eve.....but I'll always put my money on a couple of fruity drinks and a Johnny Mathis album.

That one's a favorite.  :icon_sunny:  Here's another Harry Chapin tune my mom always ascribed to me.
