White supremacists used BLM protesters as a shield to destroy the infrastructure of our community. It looks like Dresden after the bombing in some places. Grass-roots nonprofits, grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, post office and more turned to rubble. As neighbors, we gave succor to protestors but also had to control our own streets so the Bugaloos and Base didn't firebomb our homes.
I watched every fucking video of property damage I could find on YouTube from the George Floyd protests, and I saw exactly one I thought might have been a right-winger.
I saw many more that looked to be young black and anglo anti-capitalist monkeywrenchers striking a blow against the corporates. So I think you saw what you wanted to see.
I want to see your proof....and before you post it, I am willing to accept that the guy in Minneapolis who torched the auto parts store probably was a cop. That's the ONE I saw.
The other case (not on YT) I'm aware of is the CA case where the Bugaloo guy killed two Oakland cops.
It's easy to CLAIM all the damage was done by white supremacists.....but I don't buy it. I'd say the other side did MUCH more property damage....especially if you include statues and monuments......which I don't care about, but it's still vandalism.
Monkeywrenchers and BLMer's can destroy statues and nobody bats an eye, but when a couple of black women tried to paint over Di Blasio's giant Black Lives Matter pavement sign IN NYC, they got thrown in jail. What a fucking crock.
Look, Trump sending Feds to Portland is not something I support. But I would like to remind you commies that the "peaceful protest" around the Federal Courthouse in Portland wasn't completely peaceful.....and it has been going on for nearly two months.....and it was unlikely to ever end well.
And I don't think you can blame Portland on white supremacists.....the problem with Portland is that the city officials there have been kissing Antifa ass for so long the fuckers think they own the city. Maybe they do.
I'm sorry for the guy who got injured. I don't like militarized cops, and I don't support the use of pepper spray and tear gas and rubber bullets on peaceful protesters no matter who they are.
How do these people pass the screening?
You even BEEN to Arkansas? Obviously not.
How about you Phil? Where do you stand on protesting? Are you always 100% peaceful, or do you like to throw the odd brick from time to time?
Because it matters.
No never did lay in no Arkansaw grass ( triple negative still negative I hope), it's too far from Philadelphia
My brother in law filled his backpack with rocks because he and his classmates wanted to fill their backpacks with books and finish the study they already paid for, so rioted at the University. If that seems not entirely unreasonable, it's because there isn't a long tradition of tyranny over stem students and an ever present fear of an engineering school uprising in society.
BLM would say oppressors don't get to determine acceptable forms of protest. Violence certainly gets covered on the news, otherwise protest may have the impact of a tree falling in the forest and are still met with excess force that the news does not report. Unfortunately, it's just a feature of collapse that there will be uprisings and they will be met with force, ask the French yellow vests. Obviously I prefer that does not happen.
I finished the Sam Harris podcast on BLM, it didn't reveal anything I hadn't already thought of, but failed to consider resentment for historical injustice as a contributor at all. It's really a matter of emphasis on various points he makes that will determine where your sympathy or loyalty falls. Sure enough I later saw selected short segments of the longer podcast posted as 'the war on sjw's'.
I wonder if some New Yorkers in F troop uniforms wanted to arrest you, or Germans in Hogans Heroes uniforms wanted to arrest him, whether just one generations injustices would cloud your perceptions less sanguine. Imagine having centuries of historical memory triggered by an officer acting like an old time overseer.
I recommend another podcast of a debate Harris has with one Ezra Klein around race and IQ, here:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=i-VF4KCylKI He mentions there he is also half Ashkenazi jewish and has a PhD in neuroscience. He therefore should know better than what he seems to insinuate and defend, but if podcasting pays better than practising these days, give the patrons what they came for I guess.
For essentially arguing as a eugenecist, he plays the victim and harps over and over on how unfair criticism of himself for doing so is. He spends the rest of the two hours refusing to recognise the distinction between sympathizing with historical horrors on one hand and also recognising it as an environmental impact lowering IQ on the other. Klein who is only a journalist tried to make the point many times that it is historical environmental factors responsible, Harris says repeatedly that he agrees in that he is sympathetic to black Americans oppression and poverty, but never saying that these factors cause or even contribute to the lower average IQ. I say he is being deliberately dense because there's a market in satisfying white supremacy that holds the black brain to be inherently inferior.
His justification for highlighting group differences is supposedly because avoiding the topic is avoiding the data. Data that will jump out and scream at us eventually and are necessary to structure society, so don't shoot the messenger even if it's straight eugenics.
That's a straw man because nobody denies there are group differences, but the consensus is that it is due to environment and there are bigger differences within than between groups anyway. This is science, not political correctness as he suggests.
He doesn't say there are average IQ sex differences that need a discussion because the data are not going to go away, even though you CAN point to physical differences in brain size and structure. He doesn't say we need to highlight apparent group advantage in physical coordination, even though you CAN again point to a biological basis in higher distribution of large cerebellum in some races.
He doesn't look at white Catholics closing a 1SD gap after becoming fully accepted as white, showing group average is anything but fixed.
No mention of urban v rural gap. No mention of twins raised in poverty or luxury up to 2SD gap. And one few people in the field know, right v left wing gap.
He doesn't look at the East Asian 10 point advantage and it's association with the longest uninterrupted civilization and culture we have, including Confucian meritocracy through exams. He doesn't consider familiarity with test taking, confidence and motivation in testing. He doesn't look at the apparent impact of civilization collapses at all. That, coincidentally is succour to white supremacists to whom it never occurs that at various times the Egyptians, Romans, Greeks, Aztecs, or Incas would have had the most complex computations and mental representations to manipulate, before falling behind as we are now.
So while you are genuinely wrestling with the issue on racism, I think Sam Harris has deliberately gone for being an alt-right darling and done nothing to redeem himself.
