Welcome & good luck with your endeavor.

Those photos of the stead are artistic concepts ?

Has the parcel of land been chosen yet. Thee MOST critical part in land selection is checking your flood plain in the area chosen.

My son came to me a few months back & asked...

Hey Dad ! What do I need to check when buying land. His plans are to create his kingdom in upstate N.Y.

My answer was flood plain & taxes. His choice for a parcel was next to a flood plain. His answer was whew.. dodged that bullet. (shaking head)
I know exactly what you mean. Let me tell you why youíre here. Youíre here because you know something. What you know you canít explain, but you feel it. Youíve felt it your entire life, that thereís something wrong with the world.
You donít know what it is but its there, like a splinter in your mind

Hi, thanks for your advise.
Plot not chosen yet. On hold right now  ::)

Since I am architect the flood is one of many the criteria.
And indeed I've seen a few very beautiful areas with flood risk. I always check these things.

Visualizations are virtual. Just my vision.

@Surly
Thanks, I appreciate.

Take care,
kesar

I have finally reviewed your deck.
I love it. I always nurtured the dream of building such a place, but only lacked money, skills and vision.
Your is a compelling idea.
I have questions. What is the best way to pose them?

I'm happy that you like it  :icon_sunny: thank you.
For questions there are two options:
- fill the linked survey at the end of presentation (google forms);
- email me at project.wis.dom.2020@gmail.com

I planned to start a website around this idea. Don't have time at the moment though.
If you see any chance of starting more detailed discussion I will be happy to share some content.
There are many wise people around here. I hope they can help me improve the concept.

Cheers,
kesar

I finally completed the submissions part and got to the part where I could pose questions.
An inspiring idea. Glad you brought it here.

Good luck with your project. I waited a while to make sure you were a real person, forgive me. I hope my comments made sense. You probably are way ahead of me, but I have a lot of opinions about this subject.....although I never got around to building my own house, I have visited a good many "green" houses...and thought about a variety of possible ways to proceed.

I did. Hope you saw them. Most of what I know I got from David South and Michael Reynolds and a few others.

@RE- great quotes. Thank you.

@Eddie - thanks for advise. I will publish some more details about construction and technologies in my Q&A presentation.
I just need more time. Very busy at the moment.
I know Michael Reynolds - he's a guru and pioneer in this area. I learnt a lot from his designs.
I didn't know monolithic - it's a great idea, very inspiring, I have to study this concept.
many THX,  :emthup:
