Wonderful video. I love this stuff.
Have long been fascinated by the myth of Atlantis. Nothing that Plato wrote referencing Solon and Atlantis seems to be meant to be read as an allegory. Last year's tsunami and the recent outbreaks along the ring of Fire show that rapid earth changes could certainly make a large island vulnerable in a very brief period.
Modern archaeological discoveries have now shown that 'modern' civilization dates back much further than the official story. If the temple complex at Gobekli Tepe in Turkey is approx 12,000 years old, it raises question: did the builders of Gobekli Tepe learn remarkable stonecutting skills all of a sudden? More likely that civilization goes even further back than 12,000 years.
Robert Schoch argues that the Great Sphinx in Egypt dates back thousands of years prior to dynastic times, 7000 to 9000 B.C. While many mainstream traditional archaeologists and historians reject that theory out of hand, they have challenged Schoch, et al to show them any other site, which dates back so very far in time with similar sophistication. Göbekli Tepe provides such an example.
The oldest remains in Jericho have been dated to about 9000 BC. There's Mohenjodaro in India, and sunken cities off the coast. There are also arguments regarding the age of Tiahuanaco / Puma Punku in Bolivia, some argue that site is 15000 years old.
