Uncle Bob's TOOL OF THE WEEK
« on: January 21, 2014, 04:40:45 AM »
The purpose of this thread will be the recognition of excellence in evildoing. Diners are asked to submit or suggest their most repugnant creeps during the week for judgement passed on the weekend. The bar will be set lawnmowing levels of low, so unless your candidate is a walking talking bag of shit or denser than a block of cement they wont make the final cut .

Bronze trophy winner is Rand the runt Paul who handed the baton by his brilliant father took it and ran.....the wrong way. Described in the news as leading the charge to cut extended unemployment benefits for anywhere between 1.3 and 2m out of work americans, claimed all sorts of shit like it would basically help get them off their lazy asses, but most of all they couldnt afford it. At the same time he was all for approving about 60 times the amount in spending on warmongering when they are meant to be bringing back home the military from a decade of misadventure. He said this was because he "LIKES" the military. "Likes" it. Apart from the obvious fact he paid no heed to his fathers agenda of getting out of occupying bases and projecting power all over the world because its unaffordable for starters, the biggest war machine on earth is not like a pretty girl in high school whose friends scout out whether you liiiiike her. Why dont you just like it on facebook and save the 650 billion bucks, and WTF happened to you wont vote for it if you cant pay for it anyway?

Rand's prize is a bronze sledgehammer, to hit himself in the nuts with ensuring the dna doesnt degenerate any further.

Silver Tool Of The Week goes to Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott celebrating his hundredth day since swearing in this week. THis gang also known for climate change denial during a week of 44C in Victoria, 46C in SA and almost 50C in Queersland, 44C in the west and fires raging in 4 states (again). Last year was the hottest on record and this year in January already is breaking thise records. Im 42 years old and have never before been in hotter heat than 42 degrees C or 108F anywhere ever.

This government also gobsmacking everyone who gives a shit by telling us pretty much everything they do is none of our business, Im not joking. All that aside here is how the workers unions sum up lessons learned or which they went all out warning of before the election in 7 points:

Key policy decisions about public services have been handed to big business.

Building workers will once again be subject to discriminatory laws.

Broken promises on schools and early childhood education.
(the metallwork workshop in my son's school shutting shop in 2014 is one such casualty)

The demise of General Motors Holden may be just the start. (Mitsubishi and Ford had already set dates to be done by before the election, only Toyota is left and likely to follow.)

His determination to scrap the Clean Energy Finance Corporation will put Australia behind the eight ball in creating new jobs in emerging low-carbon industries.

Tax cuts for the wealth, extra burdens for the poor.

They will cut trade deals with other countries that will hurt Australian workers. (the way this works is all those cars we wont be making any more are made elsewhere and if we dont buy them and they dont make enough money they can sue us. If this is what they are prepared to tell us, how bad is the rest of the secret transpacific stuff?)

They want to destroy unions.

The new Government’s registered organisations laws are a thinly-veiled attempt to make life more difficult for unions by putting onerous new requirement s on the way they operate. Now there is speculation of a royal commission into union governance: a political witch-hunt that will be used to smear and demonise unions at every turn. The Abbott Government is determined to take unions out of the equation because it remembers the magnificent job unions did in leading the community backlash against WorkChoices and knows that an effective union movement is the only thing standing between it and unlimited power to cut wages, conditions and workplace rights.

Tony gets Silver Bolt Cutters to donate to the kids who wont have any tools to learn trade skills with to use on his toes.

Gold Tool of the Week goes to a William Kristol, who Surly1 suggested we spit on but I am more prone to throw up over;

Given the author, and given the publication, I would like to propose that this is the most singularly obscene paragraph ever written.
Today, after all, we see the full consequences of that rejection in a way Owen and his contemporaries could not. Can’t we acknowledge the meaning, recognize the power, and learn the lessons of 1914 without succumbing to an apparently inexorable gravitational pull toward a posture of ironic passivity or fatalistic regret in the face of civilizational decline? No sensitive person can fail to be moved by Owen’s powerful lament, and no intelligent person can ignore his chastening rebuke. But perhaps a century of increasingly unthinking bitter disgust with our heritage is enough.
So saith the Moloch of the Green Room, from whose hands still drips the blood of Other People’s Children.
Decent folk should spit on him. Daily.

This is written in relation to the works of Wilfred Owen first world war poet and casualty. The outrage crying out from an entire generation of centenarians dead and alive to this demon needs a voice. Just where does this guy get off? Most guys who join the army are about 17 or 18 years old, straight out of high school when their brains are wired to believe theyre bulletproof.  About the only dose of reality they might get to think twice is the esteemed Poetry of Wilfred Owen covered in High School English class.

William Kristol gets a set of high amperage Jumper Cables and a  Gold Ladder to set up below some power lines and recreate the hooded wired up arab in abu gharaib. Let him actually experience how unthinking it really is to forget that 100 years since the war to end all wars, warmongers like him are selling a script theres nothing now to be ashamed of, Ahole.

Remember to get  your nominations for next weeks Tool Of The Week in before the weekend.

Thanks UB for that Rand Paul update.... half the reason I was a Ron Paul supporter was to dismantle the war machine... who is Rand going to "like" next? The NSA?  Then his journey to the dark side will be complete....

Hear, Hear. ;D ;D ;D

Well done, UB. Although I have to point out that I was quoting Charlie Pierce in re William Kristol, but I heartily concur with your award of high amperage jumper cables, as well as, say, a marine battery...

What is the best way to submit names? PM?

Love the idea.

Here's a nominee, UB:

Kathy Stover-Kennedy, girlfriend of Freedom Industries CEO dennis Prager. Freedom leaked coal processing chemicals into a West Virginia river which has left 300,000 West Virginians without water. And Freedom is declaring bankruptcy rather than  facing court charges.

Girlfriend is a nominee for the "let them eat cake" award.

Girlfriend of CEO Whose Company Poisoned WV Water Plays the Victim While Enjoying Lavish Lifestyle

Boy oh Boy Surly,  Hands down winner for sure. Could it get any more nauseating or despicable than those two?

Could not stand looking at anything that could beat these two self loving maggots.

Top notch find Surly, sickening as it was.

Don't kid yourself.

The zeitgeist there is informed by AWD, the artist formerly known as "AssWhole Doctor," who is a constant suppurating mass of right wing virulence and misogyny, and llpoh, JQ's resident brownshirt and enforcer.

I would not be holding my breath. JQ was an Occupy supporter, which did not sit well with many of his resident cornucopianialists. So he just throw a shitbomb out there to see what happens.

But I am betting not.

If anyone can get those monkeys to question their "religion", it's UB!

You give me too much credit AGB, I may be relatively full bottle on psychiatry and psychology but really only have a smattering of understanding of other topics. If TBP people dont like greenies or lefties they can nominate names, but would need good reason.

UB,
The skill that I very much admire in you is your ability to retain your cool during Ad Hom straw grasping bullshit thrown at you. That is the technique used by most of the logic challenged monkeys at TBP (and other places too.  ;)). Turning the button pushing efforts onto the button pusher is something you can do rather expertly!  :icon_mrgreen:

I'm looking forward to you posting TBP "debates" here.  ;)  ;D Nothing like a hot "discussion" to attract readers.
