As someone who's scientific work has often been returned with a recommendation to permanently keep Eats, Shoots and Leaves handy on my desk, I found this cartoon to be absolutely hysterical. Good one Surly1.
For anyone not familiar with the reference, what's the difference between a panda and hitman in a restaurant?  One eats shoots and leaves; the other eats, shoots, and leaves.
Making pigs fly is easy... that is, of course, after you have built the catapult....

MKing had it correct JDW, no apostrophe immediately before "and".

You need new material, Im as amused as a part time mistress of a patriarchal polygamist would be about an eats, shoots, and leaves joke.

"Never in the 30 years since the the Federal Reserve first starting collecting wealth data has the divide between the rich and everyone else been so large, according to a new analysis by the Pew Research Center."
It would appear that the rich learned nothing from the French Revolution and will wait until it's too late and the guillotines are put to task.  Like the Russian Czars they think all they need is control of the government and the laws.

In fairness trickle down economics is true if you take the strict definition and place emphasis on the word TRICKLE. I think the statement has so much baggage that people think a "trickle" means their wealth is increasing by a meaningful level. That isn't the case. The theory does exactly what it says on the tin and must be taken at face value: it gives you a trickle. Plus the other thing is this statement says nothing about what happens to all the other wealth barring the trickle. Wonder where that goes eh?

No wonder at all.
