Love those falling rocks from space!!!!  A little off topic but a very good read is the novel "Deception Point"....from wiki..

Deception Point is a 2001 techno-thriller novel by Dan Brown. The plot concerns a meteorite found within the Arctic Circle that may provide proof of extraterrestrial life, and attempts by the antagonists to prevent the evidence against it from becoming public.

at least it kept me off the internet!  :)

Quick Side note here .............
All those "moon rocks" that were supposedly brought back from the alleged Apollo moon walk program
were actually collected specimen rocks found in the Antarctic subcontinent by good ol' Werner Von Braun.

But of course!! Undoubtedly there is some back story as to why the moon landings were faked, perhaps related to the star being born at our planet's core? Neil and Buzz found out, so a fake moon landing was built around them, they were paid off, etc etc, and now could be discredited throughly should they come forward and fess up that they spent a week at a hollywood sound stage.

You got this one nailed dead to rights azozeo.

Actually, the story I heard was this :
When Stanley Kubrick filmed 2001 A Space Odyssey in London, all of the initial black & white
film footage was done as well. Neil, Buzz & Mike just went around & around the planet for a week or so performing experiments.
Take it for what it's worth. I do know this however. The Ruskies "cooked" about 13 cosmonauts trying to penetrate
the magnetosphere back in the day. That's from the lips of that woman (her name escapes me) cosmonaut they used.

2014-09-07 - Huge explosion creates 39-foot crater at midnight in coastal Managua (Nicaragua):
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/09/08/skepticism-over-reported-meteorite-in-nicaragua-so-far-no-accounts-fireball-in/
http://www.theweathernetwork.com/news/articles/meteorite-strike-reported-near-nicaraguan-capital-may-be-linked-to-close-asteroid-flyby/35522/

Quote: "The U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration says the lack of any witness accounts of a fireball lighting up the nighttime sky suggests something else was behind the blast around midnight Saturday. Bill Cooke is head of NASA's Meteoroid Environment Office. He estimates the crater shown in photos was likely caused by an explosion roughly the energy equivalent of 1 ton of TNT. Cooke said Monday that any space rock capable of leaving a hole that size 'would have generated a very bright fireball.'"

Note: Nobody saw a fireball, so people aren't accepting that this was caused by a meteorite. It may have been a good-sized cloud of methane and/or hydrogen sulfide blowing in off the ocean right there that found an ignition source and detonated. It could also have been one of those underground methane explosions like those that recently created the big holes in Siberia or the underground explosion that lifted the ground in Florida and then the ground collapsed and formed a crater. Eventually the atmospheric methane and hydrogen sulfide explosions may equal or surpass the destructive power of the explosion that destroyed Hiroshima, though they won't generate any radiation, unless an explosion destroys a nuclear plant, many of which are located on coasts and ALL of which are located near bodies of water - e.g. low-lying areas - for cooling...

Az,
That might have been another piece from the small asteroid ď2014 RC,Ē which passed very close to Earth this past Sunday. It was estimated to be about 65 feet (20 meters) across, or roughly the size of a house. The piece that hit Nicaragua made a 39 ft crater!

Is Planet Serpo sort of like Nirubu? Until Nirubu didn't show up and discredited that idea for another generation or so.

Here's the link to the author's website.
It refers to Kingman Az. as the initial meeting site
