FAIR.org -- ACTION:

After their silence on the People's Climate March, ask the Sunday shows when they think global climate change will be important enough to take seriously.

==========

I like FAIR.org, but this "action" seems almost silly. Does FAIR really believe that asking these notorious purveyors of corporate propaganda -- and lies by omission -- will be moved by this "action"?

If we really want to have an action on media complicity in the destruction of all good things, our task is not to whine and beg toward the purveyors of propaganda. Instead, we should endeavor to inform as may people as possible about the power dynamics in the great lie machine which is corporate media.

Where can I get me some "Boycott Corporate Media!" bumper stickers and t-shirts?

"Almost"?

More commitment when we see horse shit, less waffling!!

Who cares what corporate media think? For that matter, who cares what the blogosphere thinks? Are people really so intellectually crippled in this world that none of them want to even THINK for themselves?

They should run off and join the right species then.

Or read pre-digested nonsense online because we don't have the capability to think for ourselves.

No. We should teach people to THINK. With that and a little bit of luck, they will figure this out on their own. They will also figure out other things as well, and all in all, this is a GOOD thing.

Let us turn those who have decided to let others, corporate, blogosphere, local dailies, twitter feeds, reddit entries, do their THINKING for them, into people capable of THINKING for themselves.

Now how do we do THAT?

Dunno. How about we pass out fliers?

Obviously you care a great deal, because you spend endless hours bitching and moaning about it.

And participating in it.

Or, more properly, attempting to participate in it.

RE!! The quake didn't get you!! Thank God, Allah, Jehovan, David Koresh and all the other churchie types people are so fascinated with!! There was an earthquake near Anchorage, and while it hasn't made the MSM yet, we were all worried!!

Climate change is a global emergency. Stop waiting for politicians to sound the alarm

The truth about our planet is horrifying, but the true leaders aren’t the ones at the UN – they’re in the streets. This is why the People’s Climate March matters

He was clearly protected by the lord; this is merely another instance of Divine intervention so our Dear Beloved Leader may continue on his Divine mission of saving mankind. His Benevolence has survived another calamity.  :icon_sunny:

Hopefully, his beer stash survived as well, cans we all hope and not bottles.   :exp-grin: :exp-laugh:

That must be it!!!! There is no way, in the world of infinite probabilities of what happens in the future, that anyone would ever have imagined that a quake wouldn't have killed every living thing within 200 miles of Anchorage, even if it happened in the aftermath as JIT delivery stopped, roads crumbled, society collapsed!!

Yup…it can only be divine intervention…there is no way RE, or even BAU! could have survived without it.

And it made the evening news!!

Everything shook, but not strong enough to knock anything off the shelves in my location.  Probably enough for that closer to Willow.
