Give Us This Day Our Daily Poison

Don't eat and drink out of plastic containers, and whatever you do, don't nuke 'em and then eat or drink out of them, because that's worse.

The Scary New Evidence on BPA-Free Plastics
And the Big Tobacco-style campaign to bury it.

It is nearly impossible to avoid plastic in relation to food products these days, of course.  I suppose market "forces" could eventually provide us with many options which barely now exist at all. Those market forces will kick in only when there is a great deal more public acknowledgement of this problem.

I think there needs to be a large, organized campaign on this. The industry will push back with intensity of course. We're talking about billions of dollars at stake, at least.
My "avatar" graphic is Japanese calligraphy (shodō) forming the word shoshin, meaning "beginner's mind". --  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoshin -- It is with shoshin that I am now and always "meeting my breath" for the first time. Try it!
