My Computers Are Going Rogue
« on: May 17, 2016, 06:05:21 AM »
After months of daily dialog boxes telling us to do the Windows 10 upgrade, it seems that my system is trying to perform the upgrade spontaneously this morning.

It was in progress when we arrived. Fucking Microsoft. Could this be a hack?

Some time ago, it was announced that Win10 was going to be forced on folks. I've got a buddy fighting this same battle with an entire company, trying to get rid of the upgrade notification (it comes back), turning off all auto updating (don't know if that works), all the usual stuff.

We only have 1 machine left in my house on Win7 and that is the kids gaming machine. I'm using it as an experiment to see if Windows tries to do just what you are describing.
