Current events on-line
« on: June 11, 2016, 04:52:59 PM »
For those of you with poor/overloaded memories or interested in researching events of the last 20 years, Wikipedia comes to the rescue yet again.  There is one page per month, with anchors for each day, and days are broken down into several categories.

This is a typical URL:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:Current_events/June_2016#2016_June_10

Unfortunately this branch of the wiki isn't properly integrated with the existing pages for years, of the form:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016
I can't think why they didn't do it properly with the form:
.../calendar_system/year/month/day/category
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Current_events/AD/2016/June/10/disasters

While you are at Wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doomer could do with some new stuff (survey results?) - you have to learn the Wiki mark-up language.
