ĎA matter of public recordí  or whatever you called a bad hair day is a false claim which seeks objectivity.

But this not about Trump you or anyone else except MSNBC propaganda and a case of me knowing enough to call bullshit.

Methinks you know a lot of what you know about what you don't know.
The fact that Trump stiffed our putative allies is a matter of public record. The characterization of "bad hair day" is mine and mine alone.

And to accuse MSDNC, ABC, or Faux News, or the Daily Blowjob of propaganda is barely worth making a post over, is it?

Unless you want to pick a fight with me. Then I'm your huckleberry.

If I enjoy making the post enough it is.  That's the only reason to do any of this stuff.  How many people read it?

You imply an argument that since we know MSDNC, Faux News  and others are known propaganda outlets it is pointless to point their propaganda out.   I find that argument to be spurious.  Discussion of obvious propaganda is needed to understand its nature and it does not matter where it comes from.  Without understanding its nature we remain its bitch.  In this case bias at MSNBC was over the top.  MSNBC produced news specifically engineered to produce disgust by leaving out vital information.  Mentioning other outlets is irrelevant.  Cases of extreme propaganda all have to be individually evaluated.

Trump is a dickweed who does not care about other people and only thinks of himself.  He has no intention of playing fair and he never has a good hair day.  Sadly the forces of blue who could trounce him on policy and issues prefer instead to emulate him and to lie in the gutter with him.  The forces of blue are in very bad need of hair products.

The only plan of the blues is to hate Trump and that does not work for me.

Methinks you are absolutely right.  Methinks there is also a lot of knowing a lot of what we don't know going around too.  A damn epidemic in fact.  Methinks I'm ahead of the game since I'll admit I know a lot about what I don't  know about.

That's great! More than I figured.  I'll still do this for fun.

I have a friend who loves to paint but he can only do it when inspired.  He hates being hired to paint a portrait or anything else.  As soon as painting turns into a job for him he has no interest.

I have no real care about whether I have readers or not.  I wrote for months on the Reverse Engineering Yahoo Group with no readers at all, and longer than that with only Surly and Peter to bounce ideas off of.  However, it is nice to be able to rub the insulting trolls noses in their dogshit accusations the Diner doesn't have a readership base.  It does, and it is significant.

Rich People Pay for Private Firefighters While the Rest of Us Burn

Rich People Pay for Private Firefighters While the Rest of Us Burn

Insurance companies offer exclusive firefighting services for high-paying clients that can help them mitigate the worst consequences of wildfire disasters. Most other people arenít so lucky.

At least 44 people have been killed in California a result of the wildfires that have burned more than 100,000 acres of land in the state. The most vulnerable populations, including the elderly and people with disabilities, are at the highest risk of perishing in the fires, which were made more likely by climate change that exacerbated dryness and tinder availability in fire-prone areas.

But, of course, some people can afford to opt out of climate chaos. TMZ reported Tuesday that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West paid for private firefighters to protect their $60 million home in Hidden Hills, California, after the couple evacuated the home under mandatory state orders. The firefighters were reportedly successful in saving the home.

The Kardashian-Wests are not the only people who can afford to tap into private wealth to mitigate the most costly damage of climate change-related disasters. Insurance companies such as AIG provide wildfire mitigation services that allow certain clients to reduce risk and save themselves in the event of a worst-case fire scenario.

AIG’s Private Client Group’s Wildfire Protection Unit, for instance, is made up of AIG employees who are certified through state or local authorities. In addition to protecting homes with flame retardants, these AIG employees respond to fires and map homes in real time as wildfires approach.

According to NBC, members of AIG’s Risk Management and Loss Prevention policy group, who qualify for Wildfire Protection Unit services, occupy 42 percent of the Forbes list of the 400 richest Americans.

Wildfire mitigation is largely encouraged by coalitions of insurance companies. PURE, an insurance company that lets high-paying clients tap into the resources of Pure’s Group of Insurance Companies (including AIG), offers a Wildfire MItigation Programfor residents in 11 wildfire-prone states, including California. The service, which is offered as part of a client’s regular insurance payment, includes proactive fire risk consultations and the installation of sprinklers and application fire retardants.

Similarly, The National Association of Insurance Commissioners created the Community Wildfire Protection Plan, which essentially involves assessing different neighborhoods for their risk of wildfires so that insurance companies can act accordingly. The association also outlines possibilities of wildfire insurance arranged in tiers of most coverage to least coverage.

Just how big is this industry? For perspective, the National Wildfire Suppression Association represents 150 wildfire contract service companies with more than 10,000 employees. It can cost in excess of $100,000 just to enter the field of private firefighting work, meaning individual missions can cost insurance companies tens of thousands of dollars.

The need for a private firefighting industry is fueled by the growing risk of climate change-related damages, which is exacerbated by defunding and undermining action related to climate change at the federal level.

Trump notably halted American payment into the Green Climate Fund, a UN-organized fund designed to help economically vulnerable countries that have contributed little to climate change abide by the terms of the Paris Accord. Recently, he expressed doubt about the veracity of a United Nations report, which said that global governments would need to fundamentally restructure their economic systems in to mitigate the worse effects of climate change. This month, the EPA removed its once climate change dedicated page entirely, under the instruction of Trump and his administration.

This week, Trump blamed the severity of the California wildfires on poor forest management on the state level, a program for which he threatened to pull federal funding.

The Kardashians are the perfect whipping boys for wannabe communists to beat up on. Why? Because they're obviously stupid people, and yet they're well adapted to prosper in our vapid, material world.

It isn't fair. Smart, educated commies living like church mice......and them with money to light on fire. (Or spend to prevent fire, whatever.)

Here's  my perspective on them hiring private firefighters. Who the fuck cares? It's their money. If the  $60 million mansion burns, they'll collect some insurance (maybe not 60 million worth) and build another Hollywood whorehouse.

Instead of bitching and moaning about injustice, for just one moment consider how they come to be so prosperous.

They sell something that doesn't cost that much ( a hip-hop record, a bottle of bad perfume) that they promote the hell out of using social media and whatever other media is willing to waste time filming their fat asses.

Because people want to emulate them, and because media takes their product out there in front of 300 million doofuses with a few $20's in their pockets, they make bank.

It's about mass markets.

Maybe they aren't really quite as stupid as people think. No, that's not right. What they are is WELL ADAPTED to the world they happen to live in.

Bashing them is stupid. I ignore them completely. Other than what someone has posted here, I've never even looked at them, never bought their cheap shit, or wasted two seconds envying them their money or their lifestyle. To me, they simply don't exist.

As long as you have mass media, you will have rock stars and movie stars and reality TV stars...and all the claptrap that goes with that. Even in the Great Depression, when America really could have gone communist pretty easily, there were these celebrities.

The masses of dumbass people WANT them, to copy their clothes and hair and to show them how to be cool.

If it weren't for idiots, the Kardashians wouldn't exist, as a way for you to hold them up as an example of rampant capitalism run amok. Put the blame where it belongs, if you want to point the finger.
