Texas at least had one elector who voted for Ron Paul. Did you catch that? News reports failed to identify who that was, but imho, the Republicans should hang on to that guy at all costs.

I barfed into a bowl of popcorn when I drunkenly watched that film in my college dorm.   It was an embarrassing moment.   But that movie could cause even a non-drunk guy to barf in his popcorn.

Lucky you had a bowl. Too bad Dennis Hopper stepped on a rainbow...he'd be perfect to play Trump in the movies.

David Lynch to direct, of course.

RP is good on some things and shit on others.  No hero of mine, taken as a whole.

He is anti-abortion, of course. But I can forgive that in a doctor whose real career was dedicated to bringing babies into the world in one piece, still breathing.

Anti-war, anti-USMIC...that alone does it for me. Then there's his stand against the Fed and the banksters. He's the best we ever had in the running, since Jimmy Carter. Better than Carter on the issues.

The stuff about him being racist is completely bogus, in my book. The PC police at work, doing what they do.

Water under the bridge.

Lucky you had a bowl.

True!  ... and yet only a moment before it was the bowl of popcorn we were passing around for folks to munch from.  It was a great relief for me to barf into it, but the others in the room were not so sanguine.   (A word I can use because, after all, I had been in college.)

He won in large part because he went against having ww3 and wants to scrap nato etc.

There's a LOT to like!

Problem is, he's given to silliness when it comes to corporate rule, as capital L Libertarians tend always to be -- perhaps because most Libertarians are Randians, and thus have their heads and hearts stuffed up too far where the sun don't shine.

Really?  He was, to my eyes and ears, far too busy saying and doing outrageously ridiculous things (and worse) for me to take anything at all he said seriously.   Did anyone actually believe stuff he said? Sorry to hear it!

Has it occurred to you the' ridiculous things' you fail to detail are probably more reasons people with a different perspective chose him. Keeping campaign promises is another matter, but that applies to all politicians.
