And I don't buy the bullshit argument that I'm "the archetypal consumptive American".

Oh good grief Eddie.  You own not only one McMansion in a Gated Community, but two others besides.  These are not income rental properties, and you don't live in two of them most of the time.  How much does it cost to heat those spaces in the winter and cool them in the torrid TX summers?  My Heat/Electric bill never exceeds $50/month.  What is your monthly nut on this?

Ida May Fuller drew $22,888.92 from 1939 to 1975.   That works out to be:

($22888.92 / (1975-1939) = $635.80 a year or  $52.98 a month.

RE

I've openly shared my financial situation here in the hope that the things I've managed to accomplish might help somebody with a brain and the good sense to follow my example. That's left me open to to your silly class warfare bullshit arguments........which no doubt appeal to a lot of people these days.

That doesn't make you right.

All of us here have worked and made decent money...You were a self-employed capitalist running dog  over-the-road truckdriver owner-operator. I can't think of a more capitalist, more carbon intensive path for a human to take.

Get off your fucking high horse buddy. You're full of shit.

But I've never taken your inventory the way you take mine...because frankly, what you do is YOUR BUSINESS.

But you have the damn unmitigated gall to attack me for buying my family a nice house and myself a small piece of rural property..and for buying a small lake cottage I got because my wife wanted one?

She works her ass off to pay for it, by-the-way...so you  could consider that HER little indulgence rather than mine.

And those properties represent a decision NOT to use my hard-earned pay to buy consumer crap. I have, in the time you've known me, overwhelming spent the rest of my money on education, preps, tools, weapons and tech.....all designed to keep my ass alive if the shit hits the fan.....for at least a little while.

You do what you want. But shut the fuck up about me. You have no right (as I already said) to pass judgment.

There are other things about you I know to be true that I haven't mentioned and probably won't, no matter how hard you keep trying to fuck with me..

They don't even need to be brought up, ever...because (unlike you) I don't need to try to assassinate the personal character of my friends to make myself feel like I'm superior.

But I know them, and on some level at least you know them too. You're a piece of work. Lay off my ass.

Indeed. that I am.  ;D  I shall put a lid on this for today (and likely the rest of the month as well).  I said my piece (peace? ??? )

You also can feel free to lay out any dirty laundry about me you care to any time.  It doesn't bother me at all.
