Some estimates had it that 54 million Americans traveled over the thanksgiving holiday. I can report firsthand that yesterday they were all on I-95.

Thanks, C5. Took a week off to travel to see family.
My wife told me prior to the weekend that estimates were that 54 million people were expected to travel in the US during Thanksgiving week. Don't know if that's true, but most of them were driving back to wherever on Sunday. We left in the wee small hours but still spent all day entombed in a metal box. I estimate traffic added four hours to the trip.
Stayed with likeminded friends early in the week, then went to see my sister's family, who in 2016 were full-blown MAGAts. Since my wife is just as opinionated as I am (but lacking my characteristic restraint and cherubic demeanor), I am grateful that this year's Thanksgiving dinner discussions were less contentious. No one had to die.
Good to be back.
