Title: December 19th (today) -- Electoral College Day
Post by: JRM on December 19, 2016, 09:16:47 AM
I put "(today)" in the title because the odds are that today will pass and nothing will be out of the ordinary with regard to the path of donald effing trump becoming president of the USA.  (Yes, his middle name is effing.)  But there is a slight chance that history will be made today and the Electoral College will pull a switcheroo.  If this happens we will be talking about it for more than just "(today)".   We'll see.

Yes, heart attack, an Oswald appearance by a looney, or a plane or auto accident will be the only thing the cry baby Lefties have left after today to pull their puds and dream about.

Get over it, the Bimbo was worse than Him.  It's Simple.

Well its another kick the can down the road opportunity.  If dems weren't and impotent facade it'd be civil war.  I'd say the chances look pretty slim.  The CIA would have pushed alot more fake news if wit was really gunning for a coup.  So kick the existential crises down the road.  To a new global gilded age we go!   Won't it be fun to see what the robber barrons can do with total survelliance, AI, memetic tracking, drones, and a shredded constitution?

I thought trump himself represented an appearance by a loony.  I don't favor Hillary, either. But Hillary isn't fucking Godzilla come to destroy all human sense and intelligence, the way trump is.  That's why I capitalize her name and refuse to capitalize trump.  Have you SEEN the people trump has appointed to cabinet and other important government positions?  This is so irresponsible, so outrageous, so over the top insane! that trump is showing himself to be incompetent by virtue of thumbing his nose at logic, science, reason, facts, truth and yes even the American Way, ... unless you want the American Way to mean ("Just push the people in the gutter and tell them to fuck off").

It is trump himself who is the loony.

I generally don't gamble at all.  So I'm unsophisticated on the handicapping thingy.  If you're betting against me, and I put in ten bucks into the pool -- and your odds are 10:1 ... well, how does this work exactly? In the simplest terms?

You may find having a scary clown in the White House humorous, but I do not.

Yes, both candidates the "two parties" put up were bad, awful, miserable, crappy....  But one was competent, while the other is not.  The incompetent one became president, and he will make a (an even bigger, worse) joke and a mockery of an institution which admittedly is already a bit of a mockery and joke.

Also, and very importantly, Hillary (who I don't like) would have at least pretended that she gave a shit about the future of the Earth vis-a-vis the EPA, etc.  That's the American way; it's our tradition!  Now we have a man with turds on the brain who won't play the nice game of pretending that he cares at all about that quaint little ol' thing which some call our home. Earth, in case anyone has forgotten.  trump intends to frack the fuck out of every last drop and smidgen and blast the rest into the stone age.  It used to be said that "A good injun is a dead injun."  For trump, it's "a good planet is a dead planet."

Texas at least had one elector who voted for Ron Paul. Did you catch that? News reports failed to identify who that was, but imho, the Republicans should hang on to that guy at all costs.

I barfed into a bowl of popcorn when I drunkenly watched that film in my college dorm.   It was an embarrassing moment.   But that movie could cause even a non-drunk guy to barf in his popcorn.

David Lynch to direct, of course.

He is anti-abortion, of course. But I can forgive that in a doctor whose real career was dedicated to bringing babies into the world in one piece, still breathing.

Anti-war, anti-USMIC...that alone does it for me. Then there's his stand against the Fed and the banksters. He's the best we ever had in the running, since Jimmy Carter. Better than Carter on the issues.

The stuff about him being racist is completely bogus, in my book. The PC police at work, doing what they do.

Water under the bridge.

True!  ... and yet only a moment before it was the bowl of popcorn we were passing around for folks to munch from.  It was a great relief for me to barf into it, but the others in the room were not so sanguine.   (A word I can use because, after all, I had been in college.)

He won in large part because he went against having ww3 and wants to scrap nato etc.

There's a LOT to like!

Problem is, he's given to silliness when it comes to corporate rule, as capital L Libertarians tend always to be -- perhaps because most Libertarians are Randians, and thus have their heads and hearts stuffed up too far where the sun don't shine.

Really?  He was, to my eyes and ears, far too busy saying and doing outrageously ridiculous things (and worse) for me to take anything at all he said seriously.   Did anyone actually believe stuff he said? Sorry to hear it!

Has it occurred to you the' ridiculous things' you fail to detail are probably more reasons people with a different perspective chose him. Keeping campaign promises is another matter, but that applies to all politicians.

In the end there were 7 defections, the most in history.  Only 2 Trump defections, and 5 Hilary defections.  2 more intending defectors were replaced at the last minute (1 each).  1 additional Hilary defector voted Sanders and was told to change his vote back to Hilary, and did so.

What a farce the whole 18-month show was, but especially the bit SINCE the election.

All of electoral politics is a farce, and always has been.  It's NOT where the real POWER lies in this society.  The real power lies in the hands of the international banking cartel, aka the ILLUMINATI.  In the words of Mayer Amschel Rothschild:

In the words of Emma Goldman:

Getting all bent out of shape that Trumpty-Dumpty was installed as POTUS is a waste of fucking time.  It NEVER MATTERED!

Trumpty-Dumpty will kowtow to these folks just as Obama-sama did and as Killary would have done had she been elected.  Anyone who does not kowtow to these folks ends up DEAD.  Just ask JFK.

or ask Muammar Al-Qaddafi

All of The Donald's empire DEPENDS on keeping the Banksters happy.  He needs to roll over his loans to stay floating.  A crash of the commercial real estate market would destroy him.  He's not going to do ANYTHING the banksters don't tell him to do, and anyone who believes otherwise is a complete dimwit.  He made Jamie fucking Dimon one of his chief economic advisors for crying out loud!

Anyhow, it's a fitting end to this civilization to see a Libertarian Clown at the helm of the Titanic as it sinks.

Trump will NOT kowtow to these folks.... because his interests and theirs are parallel, he doesn't need to.  To paraphrase George Carlin, it's one big club, and Trump is in it.  And because they know exactly where his loyalty lies, they don't care what tripe he feed the masses.  No matter what he says, in the end he is going to do what is best for billionaires.
