I was reading an article on Friday 13th and one of the interesting points touched upon is that numerology the number 12 is seen as the number of completeness. With 12 you have the 12 hours in day and the 12 months in a year. In addition the idea that the number of 12 represents completeness is present in ancient mythology AND religion:Since 13 is the number immediately preceding 12 the number 13 is seen as a number of change/transition that can lead to uncertain fates. What's more there is the association of reverting back to a completed state and this is reflected in the Norse mythology idea that if there are 13 diners to a table it is a omen one will die to revert the table 12. Overall though the unlucky association of 13 mainly stems from the Abrahamic religions. Non Abrahamic or pagan communities tended to see Friday 13th in a better light. Like the major religions of the time 13 is still seen as number of change but instead of seeing in a negative light it seen as an opportunity to embrace change. The way the pagans saw it was since 13 is a moment of change then it was good to take this change head on and go with the flow of nature. This as you see was problematic for the major religions who wanted to put god as their primary driving force and not nature. Also it was not seen in their interests to endorse pagan sentiment hence the positive association was eliminated through time.

I can say that Trump - for good or bad - will be a force of nature that leads to some change. More so than Obama I feel. Perhaps his inauguration that comes a week after a Friday 13th is a omen for that.
